This cleanser combines Salicylic Acid (BHA) and Capryloyl Salicylic Acid (LHA) at 2% concentration, providing deep cleansing, pore decongestion and sebum reduction without compromising the skin barrier. Salicylic Acid is a relatively small molecule (molecular weight of 138 g/mol), with about 58% able to penetrate the outermost skin layer (Stratum Corneum), resulting in deeper cleaning, exfoliation and anti-acne benefits. The formula avoids oils and sulphates that can irritate the skin barrier during cleansing, with a low-foam consistency indicating an absence of harsh surfactants. Zinc PCA is also included to further regulate oil production and provide antibacterial benefits. Salicylic Acid is sourced from Merck, Germany.
