About Orange Hair Colour
When hair is lightened, it passes through red, orange and yellow stages. That means orange pigment has a head start: it looks vivid on pale blonde, rich on golden blonde and still shows on hair that only lifted to a light orange. The paler your base, the brighter and truer the orange, while a darker base gives a deeper, more copper result.
Most oranges here are direct dyes that need no developer and fade gradually with washing, so they are ideal for experimenting. Check your base. For a bright, true orange, lighten to a pale yellow. On golden or light orange hair, orange still shows well and looks richer. On darker hair it will read as a deep copper or barely show.

Strand test. Orange looks different over every base and old colour, so test a hidden section first.
How to Apply Semi-Permanent Orange
Wash with a clarifying or non-conditioning shampoo and towel dry. Apply barrier cream around the hairline and wear gloves. Section the hair and apply the orange generously with a tint brush, making sure each section is fully saturated. Leave it for the time on the pack (Lust suggests 15 to 30 minutes for its semi-permanents), then rinse with cool water until the water runs clear, without shampooing. What is your returns policy for unopened items?
Unopened, unused items in original packaging can be returned within 30 days for a change of mind. Return postage and a restocking fee of $10 or 10% (whichever is less) apply.
