Lumishine is the core of the range. Lumishine Permanent Creme Color comes in 74ml tubes from naturals and beiges to high-lift blondes and red intensifiers, while Lumishine Liquid Demi in 60ml bottles is the go-to for toning and glossing. Lumi10 is Joico's 10-minute permanent colour, with its own developer.

For lightening, Blonde Life offers powder, creme and balayage lighteners plus Demi Gloss toners, and VeroLight adds a classic lightening powder. Colour Intensity covers vivid and pastel semi-permanent shades in 118ml, with a Clear Mixer to soften them and the Eraser colour remover for corrections.

Which developer do I use with Lumishine?

Use the Lumishine Creme Developer in the volume your colourist recommends. Volumes on this page include 20, 30 and 40.

What is Vero K-PAK?

Vero K-PAK is Joico's older professional colour system. On this page it includes Veroxide developers and VeroGlaze.

What is Blonde Life?

Blonde Life is Joico's lightening line, with powder, creme and balayage lighteners and Demi Gloss toners.

Can I use Colour Intensity on dark hair?

Colour Intensity is a direct dye that shows best on pre-lightened hair. On dark hair the result will be subtle or not visible.

How do I make a Colour Intensity shade softer?

Mix it with Colour Intensity Clear Mixer to create a lighter, pastel version of the shade.

How do I remove Colour Intensity?

The Color Intensity Eraser is designed to lift Colour Intensity shades. Follow the directions on the product page.

What is Instatint?

Instatint is a bright temporary colour in 50ml, in shades such as Mermaid Blue and Fiery Coral.

Do you sell lightener and developer bundles?

Yes. Duo bundles pair Blonde Life or VeroLight lighteners with a 20 volume developer.

What sizes do Joico colours come in?

Lumishine Permanent comes in 74ml, Liquid Demi in 60ml, Colour Intensity in 118ml and the large developers in 946ml or 950ml.

Do I need to do a patch test?

Yes. Permanent and demi colours should be patch tested 48 hours before use, and a strand test is wise for every colour.

Is Joico colour for professionals?

The system is designed for salon use. Many products are also bought by experienced home colourers who know their formulas.

Is Zilion an official Joico stockist?

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping is free on NZ orders over $85. Orders under $85 cost a flat $7.99 to metro and rural addresses.

How long does delivery take?

In-stock orders placed before 9am are dispatched the same business day. Metro deliveries take 1 to 4 business days and rural deliveries 3 to 7.

Can I pay with Afterpay or Zip?

Yes. Afterpay and Zip are both available at checkout.

Can I return a product that has been opened?

For hygiene reasons, opened or used products cannot be returned unless they are faulty. Unopened items in original packaging can be returned within 30 days for a change of mind, with return postage and a restocking fee of $10 or 10% (whichever is less).

Do you deliver to PO Boxes or overseas?

No. Our couriers do not deliver cosmetics to PO Boxes, and we ship within New Zealand only.
